Events at A Book For All Seasons

We love to support our local authors and our events allow us to give something back to the community as well. We offer book signings, talks, readings, writing workshops, and meals with an author—often accompanied with a slide show.

A Book For All Seasons Celebrates Teachers!

Start The Month of May With Two Notable Children's Authors!

A Book for All Seasons recognizes the importance of teachers and we've set aside two nights of fun festivities to show our appreciation. We're inviting teachers to join us on the evenings of May 2nd and 3rd. (A hearty welcome to those attending the NBCT Leadership Conference!) We'll have authors of popular children's books on hand, refreshments, door prizes and 10% off all purchases.

Friday, May 2nd - 7:00-9:00 pm, author, Bonny Becker joins the festivities with her imaginative and often irresistable characters.

Bonny Becker is the author of a number of award-winning picture books and middle-grade novels. You'll find characters as diverse as an artistic lizard, a lazy ant and an annoying robot throughout her books and in her latest, A Visitor for Bear, you'll find a grumpy bear who just can't seem to manage a breakfast in peace! With a degree from Scripps College in Claremont, California and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, Bonny Becker worked as a journalist, an editor, and a corporate communications manager before finding her true love, writing for children. Visit Bonny Becker's Website!

Saturday, May 3rd - 7:00-9:00 pm, author Robert Wells brings his unique way of explaining nature and science concepts to children.

If you've ever wondered if you can "Count to a Googol?" or perhaps "What's Smaller Than a Pygmy Shrew?" or maybe "What's Faster Than a Speeding Cheetah?" then Robert Wells gives you and your child the answers with wonderful illustrations and text designed to expand your child's horizons. Wells' books bring science and nature to children in ways that are both stimulating and entertaining.
